Muggers snatched around Tk35 lakh from two employees of a mobile phone company distributor from the New Market area in Rajshahi city on Thursday.
The incident took place when two employees of Vivo Mobile phone company distributor were going to deposit the money to a local bank.
Meanwhile, police recovered video footage of the incident from nearby CCTV cameras and found that two persons riding a motorbike snatched one of the bags from one of the two employees containing Tk35 lakh.
Boalia police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Nibaran Chandra Burman said: “After reviewing the CCTV footage and the statements of the two employees, we suspect the incident to be a planned one.”
Police have detained the two employees for interrogation, he added.
