A suspected robber was allegedly beaten to death by locals in Pabna Sadar upazila on Wednesday night.
The deceased was Shahadat Hossain, 20, son of Abdul Kader of Patkiari village in the upazila.
Additional Superintendent of Police Gautam Kumar Biswas said, on information, police went to the spot and recovered the body.
Locals said Shahadat committed a robbery in the area several times in the past.
Police said he might have been killed by an angry mob at night. Nobody was arrested involved with the incident.
The body was sent to Pabna General Hospital morgue, said ASP Goutum Kumar.
