Six, including policeman, killed in Gopalganj road accident

Six people, including an assistant sub-inspector of police, have been killed after a microbus rammed into a three-wheeler head-on near Gopalganj town.
Another person was injured in the accident on the Dhaka-Khulna Highway's Chechniakandi area around Thursday noon.
The victims have been identified as Gopalganj sadar police's ASI Delowar Hossain, 32, three-wheeler driver Azad Sheikh, 26, Mujahid Molla, 35, Kulsum, 25, and Sumaiya, 17. A sixth victim could not be immediately identified.
Lipon Sardar, 25, injured in the accident has been admitted to Gopalganj General Hospital.
Sadar police's Officer-in-Charge Md Selim Reja said the Khulna-bound microbus rammed the three-wheeler after its tyre burst, killing three people, including ASI Delowar and the three-wheeler driver on the spot.
Four others, who were critically injured, were rushed to hospital but three of them succumbed to their injuries.
