Police lend a hand to German couple stuck at Benapole Terminal

Forced to sleep at the Benapole International Passengers’ Terminal, a German couple found help at the hands of law enforcement after police lent them security for the night. The couple, Mastin and his wife Roksana, were unable to rent a hotel as they claimed the ATM in the area was not working. Police aided the two in their time of need, but were careful to investigate their background. Omar Sharif, officer-in-charge of the Benapole check-post immigration police, said: “Mastin, 32, and his wife Roksana, 30, two German citizens, had been starving throughout the day as their ATM cards did not work. They fell asleep on a steel-bench at the Benapole International Passengers' Terminal and we provided them with two policemen for security. The next morning, police found out that their visas had expired five days ago.” Police have informed the authorities concerned about the expired visas. The couple was staying at the immigration office at the time this report was filed.
