A postmaster was shot by hijackers when he was transferring cash on Sunday in Tangail.
The incident took place around 1:30pm at Bolla area in Kalihati upazila.
The injured postmaster Mojibor Rahman, 50, is currently under-going treatment in Tangail General Hospital.
Kalihati police station OC Hasan Al Mamun said the post master has been transferring Tk50 lakh after withdrawing it from Kalihati post office. He, along with his colleague, was on a motorbike.
Three assailants riding another motorbike shot two bullets at the post master and snatched the bag full of cash. One of the bullets hit his leg and another missed, the OC further said.
