Two people have died reportedly after drinking poisonous spirit in Manirampur municipality of Jessore.
Upazila Family Planning Officer Dr Mosabbirul Islam Rifat confirmed the matter, according to UNB.
Of the dead, Moktar alias Gaja Mokter had died on Thursday night while Momin, a driver, at the Upazila Health Complex on Friday afternoon, said Dr Mosabbirul Islam.
Locals said three people, including Moktar, son of late Abul Kashem, and Momin, son of late Abdur Razzaq, took spirit beside a government primary school in the municipality on Thursday.
As a result, all of them fell sick.
