A farmer, with fever, breathing complications and diarrhoea, has died at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital on Thursday morning.
The deceased, aged about 58, is a resident of Sonapur village in Manda upazila in Naogaon, reports UNB.
Saiful Ferdous, deputy director of RMCH, said the man was admitted to the hospital with “flu-like symptoms” on Wednesday but was shifted to the isolation unit later as his condition deteriorated.
The man died early Thursday, he said adding that they collected samples from his body and sent it to test for the new coronavirus.
Bangladesh on Thursday reported one more death from the virus infection in the last 24 hours and 112 new cases, raising the number to 330.
The global death toll from coronavirus reached 89,716 as of Thursday.
