A woman has been gang raped in Pabna.
The incident took place at the Char Sujanagar area of Sujanagar upazila on Sunday night.
The woman is currently admitted at the Pabna General Hospital. One of the alleged rapists was arrested.
Sujanagar police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) (investigation) Hadiul Islam confirmed the matter.
He said: “It was primarily confirmed that the woman was raped. The victim filed a case accusing five people. Police later arrested one accused Sarder Sumon alias Patal, who is a known eve-teaser in the area.”
Police are trying to arrest the rest of the accused and preferred not to disclose their names for the sake of the investigation, the OC added.
