Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu has said that the BNP-Jamaat combine, if voted to power, will make the country a safe haven for communal forces.
“BNP chief Khaleda Zia’s political vision has not changed. She has not announced her intention to sever ties with razakars [1971 collaborators], militants-terrorists, Jamaat-e-Islami and war criminals,” the minister told reporters at Kushtia Circuit House Saturday, two days after Khaleda unveiled her party’s 256-point manifesto.
Khaleda said that they would change several government policies, laws and constitutional provisions if the party comes to power.

“Khaleda Zia’s Vision 2030 does not say anything about some issues including the declaration of independence, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the Black Night of March 25 [in 1971]… She has avoided those issues tactically.”
The government spokesperson thinks Khaleda will make it a communal state if she takes office.
“She will again distort the history of Bangladesh,” said Inu, chief of a faction of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal. Jasad’s district unit President Gholam Mohsin, Joint General Secretary Zillur Rahman and Jasad Chhatra League President Nizam Uddin were also present.
