Bangabandhu Gallery inaugurated at his Tungipara school

Tungipara G T Model Government Primary School, where Bangabandhu started his education life, has set up a   'Bangabandhu Gallery' which displays  rare photos of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's life.

The school authority has installed the gallery, marking the birth centenary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman or Mujib Year. Bangabandhu  enrolled Class One at this school in 1927 and studied there till Class Three in 1930.

The gallery includes information and photos of Bangabandhu's lineage, childhood, political career as well as the Tungipara mausoleum and his meetings with renowned world leaders. The gallery also showcases photos of the 1971 Liberation War, mass killings, and several important news of the Liberation War.

Fifth grader Raj Sen and Liasha Tabassum of the school said: "We are proud as we are studying at the school where Bangabadhu started his education. We can now discover the life of Bangabandhu through the gallery. We want to grow up by ingraining his ideology and philosophy into our mind."

Tungipara G T Model Government Primary School Headmaster Md Sibrul Islam said: "Bangabandhu enrolled in Class One in 1927 and continued his education till Class Three here in 1930. We have set up the gallery to honor the memory and birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Students will learn about Bangabandhu, as well as his sacrifice, ideology, and philosophy.
