The body of a child was recovered early Sunday, four days after he was reportedly abducted in Sunamganj.
The corpse was recovered in Bashtola village around 5:15am, found from inside a sack.
The deceased was identified as Tofazzol Hossain, 7, a first-grade madrasa student from Bashtola village and son of Zubayer Hossain.
Family sources said: "Toffazol went missing from the village last Wednesday afternoon. The next day we filed an abduction case with the local police station. In the early hours of Saturday, Tofazzol’s corpse was discovered in a cement bag behind a neighbour's house. The police recovered his body once they were notified."
Family members suspect that Toffazol was abducted and murdered for a longstanding family feud.
Sunamganj Superintendent of Police Md Mizanur Rahman said: "We have arrested seven possible suspects for interrogation."
