The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has detained Md Rezaul Karim, an income tax inspector, in the act of receiving a Tk20,000 bribe from Agrabad Commercial area in Chittagong district.
He was arrested from the office of tax region 2, circle 31, on Tuesday afternoon, reports UNB.
ACC Chittagong 1 Deputy Director Lutful Kabir said: "We had received complaints against Rezaul as he was demanding a bribe. He demanded Tk20,000 bribe from a person on Tuesday for processing the income tax file.
"On information, the ACC team arrested him with the bribe money.”
