Police have recovered the hanging bodies of couple from a house in Buribazar area of Savar’s Ashulia.
Sub Inspector (SI) of Ashulia police station Abdul Salam said: “On information, we recovered the bodies -- hanging in a room -- on Friday morning.”
The deceased were identified as Parvez Mia, 26, -- son of Mostafa Paik from Bagerhat district -- and his wife Sadia Akhter,23, --daughter of Monu Mia from Khulna district -- both were garment workers.
The SI said: “The bodies were sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital for autopsy.”
“The couple might have committed suicide and a case will be soon filed on this,” he added.
Parvez’s mother said her son and Sadia used to lock in altercation over family matters.
