The government has suspended Sub-registrar Subrata Kumar Das of Shahjadpur, Sirajganj, over allegations of professional misconduct and graft, and attached him to the district registrar office.
“The decision has been taken to file a divisional case against Subrata Kumar Das over allegations of misconduct and graft. For the sake of having a thorough investigation, it will not be right to keep him in his office, as the allegations brought against the accused officer are serious, ” a law and justice division notification said on Sunday.
Signed by Law and Justice Division Secretary Md Golam Sarwar, the notification further said during his suspension period, the sub-registrar will get his allowances accordingly.
