At least four people have been killed and two others were injured in road accidents in Jhenaidah and Dinajpur districts.
The accidents occurred on Tuesday.
In Dinajpur, three people were killed and two others injured in a collision between a truck and two motorcycles on the Dinajpur-Fulbari Highway, near Bajitpur area in Fulbari upazila around 9:30pm.
The deceased are Farhad Hossain, 35, Antor, 32, and Raju, 25. All three of them hailed from Daulatpur village of Chirirbandar upazila.
Fakhrul Hasan, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Fulbari police station, told Dhaka Tribune that the motorcycles rammed into the back of a parked truck, killing three of them on the spot and injuring two others.
All the injured have been taken to M Abdur Rahim Medical College Hospital (MARMC) for treatment, the OC added.
In Jhenaidah, a motorcyclist named Ramiz Uddin, 55, was killed as a car crashed into his motorbike near Halidhani bazaar of sadar upazila on Tuesday afternoon.
Sub-Inspector (SI) Bakhtiyar Hossain of Jhenaidah sadar police station said Ramiz was on his way to a relative's house when the accident occurred, leaving him critically injured.
He was then taken to Jhenaidah Sadar Hospital, where the duty doctors declared him dead.
SI Bakhtiyar said they have arrested the car driver ,Munna Morol, and impounded the vehicle.
