One of four persons burnt in an explosion in Gazipur died while receiving treatment at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH).
Aklima Khatun, 50, passed away while undergoing treatment on Saturday night.
On Saturday, four persons received burn injuries following an explosion at a residential house in the Kathra Mandalbari area in Gazipur.
According to locals and police officials, the explosion occurred at the residence of Yakub Mandal.
The injured -- Nur Mohammad, 80, Yakub Ali Mandal, 60, Aklima Khatun, and Swapan -- were taken to DMCH in critical condition.
Inspector Bacchu Mia, in-charge of DMCH police outpost, said: "Yakub Mandal and Aklima suffered 100% and 95% burns respectively. Nur Mohammad suffered 25% burns."
It is not yet clear what caused the explosion. However, police suspect a gas leakage at the house might have triggered the blast.
