Narail-2 lawmaker Mashrafe Bin Mortaza has visited Narail General Hospital to meet dengue patients admitted there.
Attending a meeting with the hospital's managing committee on Thursday, Mashrafe, also Bangladesh’s ODI cricket captain, asked hospital authorities to replace all defunct machineries on an emergency basis.
"Don't think about the bill, replace all defunct machineries first to save people's lives," he said.
He said Bangladesh was in a crisis over dengue and necessary measures had already been taken to tackle the situation.
Narail Deputy Commissioner Anjuman Ara, Superintendent of Police Md Jashim Uddin, and Civil Surgeon Dr Munshi Asaduzzaman, among others, were present during the lawmaker’s visit.
