Police have filed a charge sheet against nine men involved in the rape and murder of Nurse Shahinur Akhter Tania.
They disclosed the news at a press briefing Thursday afternoon.
According to the charge sheet, bus driver Nuruzzaman Nuru, helper Lalon Mia, and bus driver’s cousin Borhan are directly involved in the rape and murder of Nurse Tania.
Of the nine accused, six have been arrested while three are absconding.
The accused are Nuruzzaman Nuru, Lalon Mia, Al-Amin, Rafiqul Islam, Khokon Mia, Bakul Mia, Md Al-Mamun, Borhan, and Parvez Sarker Pavel.
From the accused, only three have given confessional statements before court under Section 164 of the Criminal Code of Procedure.

Kishoreganj Superintendent (SI) of Police Mashrukur Rahman Khaled said: “We have submitted the charge sheet of the accused after investigation.”
He said: “No one will be spared.
“We are trying to arrest the absconding criminals.”
On May 12, the prime accused, bus driver Nuruzzaman Nuru confessed to his crimes in court.
Like the driver, his assistant also confessed about the involvement of three individuals.
Earlier on May 8, Nuruzzaman, Lalon Mia, Rafiqul Islam, Khokon Mia, and Bakul Mia were each put on an eight-day remand.
Kishoreganj Superintendent (SI) of Police Mashrukur Rahman Khaled said: “Lalon’s confessional statement has helped the investigation. The other accused will soon be arrested too.”
