Police recovered at least six bodies in Comilla, Kushtia, Thakurgaon, Rangamati, Tangail, and Pabna on Friday.
In Comilla, a body of an unidentified man was recovered from a roadside in the South Chartha area of Comilla town in the morning.
According to the law enforcement officers, locals informed them of the body following its discovery. Police suspects the man was murdered because his body bore several stab marks.
In Kushtia, an auto-rickshaw driver, aged about 25, was found dead on a maize field near the Shyampur-Moubaria Highway in Doulatpur upazila early on Friday.
Some muggers guised themselves as passengers and stabbed the man to death, said OC Azam Khan of the Doulatpur police station. Police arrested a suspect named Rocky, 26, for his involvement with the murder, he added.
In Thakurgaon, police recovered a body of a man, who had been missing for the past two days in the Haripur upazila.
The deceased was identified as Al-Amin, 18, whose body was found floating in the Burighat area of the Nagar River in the upazila, said Haripur police station OC Sabur Ahmed.
In Rangamati, police recovered a decomposed body of a man of an ethnic minority from the Dangnala area of the Kaptai upazila in the afternoon.
Chandraghana police station OC Ashraf Hossain said the man might have been killed in somewhere else two weeks before. Police discovered two injury marks on his body.
In Tangail, a decomposed body of a youth was recovered from the Betrashin village of the Mirzapur upazila in the afternoon.
Locals spotted the body floating in a pond of the village and informed the police.
Mirzapur police station SI Mujibur Rahman said: "We suspect the man was killed around four or five days ago, later his body was dumped into the pond."
In Pabna, a body of an unidentified man was recovered from the Padma river tributary of the Char-Sadirajpur area in the Pabna Sadar upazila.
Police sent the body to the Pabna General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
