Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has said the recommendations for implementing the Ninth Wage Board will be sent to the Cabinet division, and it will take the final decision once the prime minister returns home.
"We will send the recommendations to the Cabinet. The Cabinet will discuss it and the gazette will be issued once the final decision is made. The decision will be taken after the return of the prime minister on August 5," he said.
Obaidul Quader was addressing a meeting of the Cabinet committee formed to finalize the wage board 2018 on Thursday.
He also said they have made realistic recommendations after discussions with the stakeholders.
Agriculture Minister Mohammad Abdur Razzaque, Industries Minister Nurul Mazid Mahmud Humayun and State Minister for Cultural Affairs KM Khalid attended the meeting with Obaidul Quader in the chair.
