The officer-in-charge of Kishoreganj’s Kotiadi police station has been withdrawn for allegedly releasing an abduction case accused taking bribe and tearing up a related page from the FIR book.
“OC Md Ahsan Ullah has been closed to district police lines as per the order from police superintendent,” Kishoreganj’s Additional Superintendent of Police Mohammad Rakib Khan told the Dhaka Tribune Friday.

“An investigation has also been started against him,” the ASP added.
The OC allegedly took bribe and released an abduction case accused after tearing up a related page from the FIR book on January 21 night.
However, when this correspondent told him that the journalists had copies of the torn FIR, the OC responded he had no idea from where the journalists got the paper.
