Two people have been killed and two others injured as a train hit a truck at Abdul Majid road level-crossing in Dakshinkhan area of Gazipur metropolitan.
The deceased could not be identified yet.
Dhaka-bound Maitree Express from Joydebpur railway station collided with a sand-laden truck early Sunday, and then fell into a road side ditch killing one on spot and injuring the others.
One of the injured died on the way to hospital.
Sub-Inspector (SI) Rafiqul Islam of Tongi railway police outpost confirmed the matter.
The locals blamed the railway authorities for the incident as the crossing did not have any gateman after midnight.
