Twenty-one accused, who were involved in Feni madrasa student Nusrat Jahan Rafi's murder, misbehaved during a court hearing and harassed Sonagazi Municipality Mayor Rafiqul Islam Khokon on Thursday afternoon.
Witnesses of the incident said 21 accused—16 of whom have charge sheet filed against them—verbally abused Khokon along with threats and made a racket.
Police took control of the incident and deployed additional troops shortly after the incident.
Later the court of Senior Judicial Magistrate Zakir Hossain ordered to transfer the case to the Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal as per the regular hearing process.
Advocate Khokon said: “The threats of murderers do not scare me. I am ready to die if that what it takes to bring justice for Nusrat.”
