Police on Friday recovered the body of a Santal woman in Ranipukur union under Birol upazila of Dinajpur.
Police suspect that the deceased, Sumitra Maddi, was suffocated to death.
Birol police station OC Golam Rosul said: “The woman went missing on Thursday evening. Locals informed police after spotting her body in a local corn field.”
“Her body has been sent to the morgue of Dinajpur’s M Abdur Rahim Medical College Hospital.”
