Twenty gold bars—worth Tk1.30 crore—have been found at Sylhet Osmani International Airport.
Customs officials found the gold bars on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight from Dubai around 8am on Tuesday.
Ahsan Ullah, deputy commissioner of Osmani International Airport Customs, said: "Our A team searched the aircraft and recovered 20 gold bars weighing 3.3kg, wrapped in scotch-tape. They were hidden underneath a seat.”
No one has been detained in this regard.
