The eleven year old boy, who sustained burn injuries from a gas cylinder blast in Fatullah of Narayanganj, died at the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Thursday, raising the death toll to three.
Rafi, 11, who sustained 95% burn to his body, breathed his last at 12pm, said Bacchu Miah, in-charge of DMCH police outpost, reports UNB.
Rafi’s mother Fatema, and one of his siblings, Safawan also succumbed to their injuries at the same hospital on April 8 and 7 respectively.
Fatema had 94% burn injuries, while Safawan suffered 90% burn.
Fatema, 35, and her three children, Faria (9), Safawan (5), and Rafi (11), suffered burn injuries following the blast in their flat, on the second floor of a six-storey building at Giridhara residential area, on Saturday.
