A Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST) official has been suspended over an allegation of harassment.
Md Rakib Rahman, a library official of the university, was suspended on Thursday after a student accused him of harassing her.
A show-cause notice was also issued asking why he should not be permanently discharged from his post.
The university administration formed a four-member committee to probe the allegation, and asked it to submit a report within three working days.
JUST authorities also stated that the accused official will be sacked if he is found harassing the student during his suspension period.
