A worker was burnt to death and three others injured,when a fire broke at a plastic factory in Senbag upazila of Noakhali district on Saturday night.
The deceased was identified as Ismail Hossain ,30, son of Md Hossain.
According to local sources, a fire broke out at the Puspita Plastic and Ribbon Industry in Bhuyardighi of Mohammadpur union council in the upazila, while Ismail and other workers at the factory were asleep at night.
Ismail died on the spot as he was stuck inside the factory.
Keshob Chakrabarti, Dilip Chakrabarti, and Ridoy Chandra were critically injured trying to douse the fire.
On information, firefighters from Choumuhoni went and doused the fire after much effort.
Senbag police station Officer-in-Charge, Mizanur Rahman, said Ismail’s body was sent to Noakhali Sadar Hospital morgue.
The injured were admitted to hospital, he added.
