Couple killed in Satkhira motorbike accident

A couple have been killed in a road accident, after a pickup van hit their motorbike from behind in Kaliganj upazila of Satkhira. The deceased are Abed Ali, 48, and his wife Amena Bagum, 45. “The couple were on their way to upazila sadar along with their son, Abdul. Suddenly, a pickup van hit their motorcycle at an intersection around 12:30pm Friday,” Kaliganj OC Laskar Jayedul Haque told the Dhaka Tribune. “The accident left the woman dead on the spot and the other two injured. “The injured were rushed to Satkhira Sadar Hospital where Abed Ali died in the afternoon,” the OC added.
