Three members of a family have died and a minor has gone missing after a boat capsized in the Buriganga river.
The incident took place in Dhaka's Sadarghat Friday night, reports the UNB.
The deceased were identified as Motiur Rahman Moti, 55, his wife Rozina Begum, 42, and Momtaz Begum, 50.
Sadarghat river police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdur Razzak said: "The boat - carrying four members of a family - sank in the river after being hit by a launch MV-Manik around 10:30pm, leaving them missing.
The bodies of Rozina and Momtaz were retrieved from the river around midnight while that of Moti around 9am Saturday, the OC said.
Moti’s son Abid, 5, remained missing till the filing of this report.
