Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is joining the “Let’s Talk” program on Friday to listen to the thoughts and ideas of the younger generation and to share her views with them.
The Awami League’s research wing, the Centre for Research and Information or CRI, will organize the interaction which was earlier scheduled for November 16, said a CRI press release, reports BSS.
“Different studies have depicted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as the most popular leader among the youth in Bangladesh. And now she is joining the Let’s Talk program to show once again why she is so popular with young people,” said CRI Executive Director Sabbir Bin Shams.
“And at different times she has emphasized the role of youth in building a developed Bangladesh,” he added.
A total of 150 young people selected from across Bangladesh, including professionals, entrepreneurs, students, and sports and cultural activists, will take part in the talk.
They will have the opportunity to discuss the government’s policies and measures to take the country forward.
This is the first time the prime minister is speaking with a group of youths, according to the CRI. It said the prime minister is expected to share some information about her younger years to inspire the group.
“Let’s Talk” is an interaction series the CRI regularly organizes to connect youths with politics and policymaking.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s son and ICT Affairs Adviser, Sajeeb Wazed Joy, took part in the program on several occasions.
