A suspected drug trader has been killed in a “gunfight” with rival group in Bheramara upazila of Kushtia district.
The identity of the deceased could not be ascertained as yet.
Bheramara police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Khondorkar Shamim said: “We went to the spot around after being informed about a gunfight between two groups of drug traders 2am on Monday.
“When we reached the spot, we found a drug trader in an injured condition. He was admitted to Kushtia General Hospital, where he died in the morning.”
The OC said they also recovered a firearm, four bullets and 310 pieces of yaba tablets from the spot.
