Three people have been killed in separate road accidents in Comilla and Khulna.
The accidents took place on Thursday, reports UNB.
In Comilla, the driver of a Chittagong-bound poultry-laden covered van was killed on the spot after a truck rammed his vehicle from behind in Korpai area of Burichang upazila around 7:30am.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Mainamati Highway police station Mahbubur Rahman confirmed the matter.
The victim has been identified as Abu Selim, a resident of Bharera village of the upazila.
Meanwhile, an unidentified man was killed in a road accident at Kalakachua in Burichang upazila in the early hours of Thursday.
In Khulna, a septuagenarian man died in a hospital after he was injured in a road accident in Paikgaccha upazila.
Paikgaccha police station OC Aminul Islam said 70-year-old Makbul Hossain was hit by a motorcycle when crossing the road around 9pm on Wednesday.
Later, he was taken to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries around 9:30am on Thursday.
