One has been killed, and 20 others injured, in a head-on collision between a motorcycle and a bus in Gopalganj.
The accident occurred on the Muksudpur-Baraitola road in Dhopabhita area, under Muksudpur upazila, around 7:15am on Monday. The deceased, Yasin, 28, hails from Naohata village of Mochna union in Muksudpur upazila.
Officer-in-charge of Muksudpur police station Mustafa Kamal Pasha described how a Muksudpur-bound local bus collided with a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction—in the Dhopabhita area. The bus hit a nearby tree, injuring 20 passengers.
The injured have been admitted to Muksudpur Upazila Health Complex, Pasha said.
