A total of 91 people were detained, including 15 suspected drug dealers, during a 24-hour police drive in Khulna.
The drive began at 8:00 a.m. Sunday—conducted by Khulna district and metropolitan police.
Ninety-two yaba pills, 15 litres of locally-made liquor, and marijuana were seized from those arrested—along with mobile phones and a motorcycle.
Khulna Police Special Branch (SB) Superintendent of Police Md Anisur Rahman said district police detained 11 people with 63 grams of marijuana and 77 yaba pills on them. Eight cases were filed in this regard. They also held 46 others on other charges.
According to sources at the Khulna metropolitan police SB control room, a total of 34 people were held, among whom four were identified as drug dealers.
