Three people including a schoolboy sustained bullet injuries in a gun attack on a gathering in Ghoshgram village of Raninagar upazila on Friday night.
Among the injured, the boy was identified as Robayet Hossain, 13, of Bhobanipur Mandalpara area in the upazila and a sixth-grader of Kofilia High School in Betgari bazar area, reports UNB.
A gang of miscreants attacked a lottery-raffle-draw programme in Kofilia High School ground, organized by Udayan Krira Sangsad Football Tournament around 11:30 pm, and opened fire, leaving three injured, said ASM Siddiqur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Raninagar Police Station.
Robayet who sustained bullet on his head was admitted to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital early yesterday morning.
The reason behind attack could not be revealed yet, said the officer-in-charge.
