Twenty-six people have been injured in a road accident that saw a bus plunge into a roadside ditch in Alipur area of Habiganj district.
Of the injured, 15 were admitted to Habiganj Sadar Modern Hospital and three were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in critical condition.
Shayestaganj highway police station Officer-in-Charge Md Jashim Uddin said: “The bus plunged into a roadside ditch when its driver lost control of the steering, in Alipur area, on Tuesday morning.
“Based on information, a team of police and officials from Habiganj Fire Service responded to the scene and rescued the injured.”
Habiganj Sadar Modern Hospital duty doctor Rajibul Chowdhury said the injured are being treated at the hospital.
