Chhatra Dal leaders among 42 sued in Cox’s Bazar

Police have filed a case against 42 people, including two local leaders of BNP’s student wing Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal, on charges of torching a vehicle in Cox’s Bazar sadar upazila.

Sadar police’s Officer-in-Charge Farid Uddin Khandaker said the case was filed under the Special Powers Act on Wednesday, reports UNB.

On Tuesday, a group of people vandalised some vehicles and set fire to one of them while leading a procession at the upazila’s Khurusakul Bridge.

Chhatra Dal’s district unit President Rashedul Haq Russel and city unit Vice-President Enamul Haq were among the accused.
