Road accident kills 6 in Moulvibazar

A road accident in Moulvibazar has killed six people, including a family of four, and has injured three others.

The accident on Saturday evening happened when a car had a head on collision with a CNG run autorickshaw at the Moulvibazar-Sylhet highway.

Moulvibazar Munmukh Union Parishad Member, Shah Imran Saju, has confirmed the news of the accident.

Police and fire service went to the scene and sent one of the injured person to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital.

The deceased have been  identified as Jahangir Talukder, 38, son of Abdul Goni of Sherpur village of Moulvibazar Sadar, Sajna Begum, 28, Nahid, 26, Saif Ahmed, 12, son of Moshahed Mia of Khalishpur village,Layes Mia, 30, of Tajpur village, and Shahadat Talukder, son of Jaton Talukder of Karimpur village.

The injured are Yeasmin Begum, Nurun Nahar, Nurjahan, and Mostaq Ahmed.

Moulvibazar model police station Duty Officer Shila Begum confirmed hasthe death of six people and said: “Body Bodies of the four deceased were sent to the hospital morgue.”
