A man has reportedly murdered his mother, younger brother, and aunt by slitting their throats in Bera upazila of Pabna. The incident occurred in Sonapadma Village in the early hours of Wednesday.
Quoting family members of the victims, Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police (Bera Circle) Ashish bin Hassan said: “The suspect, Tuhin Hossain, slit the throats of his mother Buli Khatun, 40, brother Tushar Hossain, 10, and aunt Nasimon Khatun, 45.
“He then stabbed the victims to ensure their deaths.”
On a tip off, police arrived on the scene later in the morning and found three dead bodies. Tuhin has been on the run from the law since the incident.
According to police, family dispute could be behind the gruesome murders.
