8 killed in Gopalganj road accident

At least eight people have been killed and 23 others injured as a night coach plunged into a roadside ditch in Bishombordi area under Muksudpur upazila of Gopalganj district. The identities of the deceased could not be ascertained yet. Muksudpur Sindhoya ghat police outpost Sub-Inspector (SI) Mohidul Islam said: "A bus of Shugandha Poribohon plunged into a roadside ditch after its driver lost control over the steering in 2:30am on Sunday, killing six people on the spot." He said the injured were sent to different hospitals, including Faridpur Medical College Hospital. Gopalganj Superintendent of Police Mohammad Sayedur Rahman Khan said: "Two of the injured died after being sent to the hospital."
