Nepal plane crash victim Piyash Roy’s body reaches home

The body of Piyash Roy, who was killed in the US-Bangla plane crash in Kathmandu, reached his home in the ShitlaKhola area of Barisal early on Friday. An ambulance carrying the body arrived at the location around 3.30am. Earlier, family members received Piyash's body at HazratShahjalal International Airport on Thursday afternoon. The body of Piyash, who was an MBBS student of Gopalganj Sheikh SayeraKhatun Medical College, was first taken to its campus at around 12:45am. His family members said his funeral was to be held at around 11am on Friday. At least 49 people, including 26 Bangladeshi nationals, were killed when the US-Bangla Airlines aircraft carrying them crashed and burst into flames at Tribhuvan International Airport in the capital of Nepal on March 12. Last Monday, the identified bodies of 23 Bangladeshi passengers were brought back by a cargo aircraft of Bangladesh Air Force.
