Second death-row convict dies in two days in Barisal jail   

A death-row convict died in Barisal Central Jail on Sunday. Alauddin Rari, 59, was sentenced to death in a case filed over the murder of journalist Monir Hossain Rari, said jailer Md Badrudozza. Earlier, on Saturday, another death-row convict, Md Zafar, died while undergoing treatment in Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital. Alauddin was, too, admitted to this hospital after he complained of chest pain on March 15. Alauddin’s body will be handed over to his family soon, the jailer said.
