Man held with 90 tortoises in Magura

Police arrested a man along with 90 tortoises from a bus near Ramnagar police camp in Magura town on Friday afternoon. Lutfor Rahman, 35, is the son of Shomser Ali of Keshabpur upazila of Jessore. Officer-in-charge of Magura police station Ilias Hossain said police arrested Lutfor while he was taking the tortoises to Khulna on the roof of a bus for smuggling them to India. A case was filed. The seized tortoises were released in the Gorai river in Magura.
