Yaba pills seized from bus hired for Kuet students' study tour

Khulna police on Monday recovered 2,235 contraband Yaba pills from a bus which was hired for a study tour by Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (Kuet) students. The Yaba consignment was discovered when a team from Sonadanga Model police station was searching the bus on its way back to Khulna from Teknaf, Cox's Bazar. Sonadanga Model police station Officer-in-Charge Momtazul Haque said bus helper Reazul had been detained in connection with the contraband drugs. During primary interrogation, Reazul had admitted that he got the Yaba pills from a drug peddler in Teknaf to sell in Khulna, the OC added. He further said that the detained was likely to be produced before court on Tuesday.
