UGC chairman’s mother passes away

Alhaj Salema Khatun, mother of UGC Chairman Professor Abdul Mannan, passed away at her residence at Kazir Dewri in Chittagong yesterday. She was 93. She was the wife of renowned social worker Late Abdus Salam. She left behind four sons, three daughters and a host of well-wishers to mourn her death. Namaj-e-Janaja of the late Salema will be held today at Jamiatul Falah Mosque in Chittagong after Asr prayer. She will be buried at her family graveyard in Chittagong.
