BGB detains 24 trespassers near Benapole border

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have detained 24 people while they were trying to intrude into Bangladesh through Shadipur border in Benapole. They were detained Sunday morning. Benapole ICP Camp Commander Subedar Abdul Wahab told the Dhaka Tribune: "Acting on a tip-off, troopers of battalion 49 detained them around 8am. "No trafficker was detained in the drive." Benapole Port police station Officer-in-Charge Apurba Hasan said: "The detainees have been handed over to the police station concerned after filing a case. They will be sent to Jessore court this afternoon."
