50 bombs recovered from female students' hostel in Jessore

Police have recovered 50 bombs from a hostel for female students on Kharki Shah Abdul Karim Road in Jessore. The bombs were recovered Thursday night. Jessore Detective Branch (DB) of Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Moniruzzaman told the Dhaka Tribune: “Sensing our presence, seven to eight miscreants fled the scene when we reached the spot. “The bombs were recovered from two bags.” However, police did not disclose anything regarding the type of bombs that were recovered in the drive. He said they also found three sacks near the bags. Hostel Owner Mahbubur Rahman told Dhaka Tribune: "Locals noticed a number of people roaming around inside the courtyard of mess last evening. “Later, they called up the police noticing the suspicious movement of those people." Additional Police Super of Jessore Salahuddin Shikder said: "The bombs have been defused.” Police were investigating the matter.
