Two girls raped in Patuakhali

Two girls were allegedly raped in Patuakhali’s Baufol upazila on Friday and Saturday. A group of four men gang-raped a girl in Adbaria union on the day of Eid-ul-Azha (Saturday) while she was returning home after visiting her mother at Patuakhali Sadar Hospital . A case was filed against four people --Kabir Sharif, 25, Jafar Gazi, 28, Mizan Sarder, 26 and Siddik, 22-- in connection to the matter. Later, Baufol police arrested Kabir Sharif and are conducting drives in search of the other miscreants. Baufol police station Officer-in-Charge Azam Khan Farooki told the Dhaka Tribune that the victim was sent to Patuakhali Medical College Hospital. According to a report of UNB, a girl was allegedly raped by one Balram Pal at Kanakdia village of the upazila on Friday. The victim was a class X student.
