Khaled Masud Pilot's father dies in Rajshahi

The father of former Bangladesh national cricket team captain Khaled Masud Pilot tragically drowned in the Sagorpara area of Rajshahi on Sunday. Pilot's father Shamsul Islam Mollah went to a pond in the area to take a bath at around 11:30 in the morning when the incident occurred, reports UNB. Rajshahi Fire Service Station Officer Farhad Hossain said a team from fire services rushed to the location after receiving the information and retrieved the body at 2:30pm. The 70-year-old Shamsul had also represented his country in sport as a former footballer with the Bangladesh national team. Family sources said that Pilot was on his way to Rajshahi from Dhaka at the time of filing this report.
